Warmboard-S is our flagship radiant panel and the leading product in the industry, preferred by architects, builders and homeowners alike.
Warmboard-S™
Structural Radiant Heating Panels
Warmboard-S™ Thickness
It is a 1 1/8” thick radiant panel that provides unmatched response, energy efficiency and comfort. The thickness of the 7-ply plywood panel also means you can install it as a structural subfloor. Yes – the same labor, skills and tools used to install a subfloor can be used to install Warmboard-S. As these radiant heating panels are installed, the modular channel pattern automatically produces the tubing layout, a process that takes much more time with other radiant systems. Roll the ½” tubing into the stamped pattern and attach to the hydronic circuit. This smooth process saves you money throughout your construction process.

With Warmboard-S, everything is easier
Unlike high-mass systems, there’s no need to double-sill or add structural reinforcements to accommodate the massive weight of the pour. Our panels are strong and durable, unlike other low-mass products. With our 12” tubing spacing, we outperform the competition by a wide-margin, even those with twice the tubing. With Warmboard radiant heat floor panels, you require less tubing, fewer manifolds, a more simplified control system and less labor, all saving time and money.
Industry Support
Warmboard heated floor panels interface with all types of finished floors, from wide plank hardwood to thick carpets. In fact, Warmboard is among the only hydronic radiant floor products to be endorsed by multiple hardwood companies. We also have documented approval from the Tile Council of North America for the use of Warmboard in all major tile assemblies.
Warmboard-S radiant floor panels are rated Exposure 1, as specified by the APA – The Engineered Wood Association. The APA trademark is the consumer’s assurance that products, which bear its stamp, have met specific manufacturing and product performance standards. As an APA approved product, Warmboard-S panels can handle exposure to rain, snow, and ice. In fact, the aluminum top surface of Warmboard-S acts as a ‘built in’ weather barrier making it even more impervious to rain and snow than standard Exposure 1 plywood. During construction, Warmboard-S heating panels can be walked on, bracing can be nailed off and sill plates can be nailed directly to them. In general, Warmboard-S should be treated in the same manner as any other plywood subfloor.

Wmb-S has 4 Panel Types:
Warmboard-S or Warmboard-R?
Warmboard-S and Warmboard-R hydronic radiant panels offer the same superior heating performance. Both products are made with the same thick aluminum that covers the entire panel surface, including all straight and curved channels where tubing is placed.
Thermodynamically identical, both products provide the same benefits of comfort and energy efficiency. Generally, new construction and new additions will use Warmboard-S, benefitting from its dual function as a structural subfloor. Remodeled areas of a home will typically use Warmboard-R.
