We are in the very early planning stages of a new construction retirement home in northern Idaho. Could you provide a ball-park cost per sf for materials for homeowner install? even a high estimate will suffice. Thank You.

For a hydronic radiant floor heating system, you should pencil in $18/sf for material and labor. In some parts of the country this may be a little bit high, but from what we’ve found any/every hydronic system will fall in the $15-20/sf range. Warmboard has higher material costs, but much lower installation costs. Material can vary wildly from one project to the next depending on numerous variables. If you want to give us a call and discuss your project, we can get you an accurate number. 877.338.5493
