I’m using warmboard and for our new home build in Salt Lake City but wanted to put off finished flirting for sometime after move in. Since it’s not bare wood will the inspector sign off on the occupancy permit with just warmboard R installed? Thanks
Every jurisdiction does things a bit differently. And each area has its own priorities among the building department and the bank before occupancy can occur. Safety, ultimately, is the primary concern. Because you will have a completely level surface, tubing and all, it shouldn’t be an issue. Shouldn’t. But we can’t confirm that. Our recommendation would be to call the inspectors office and get a feel for it. You could also consider a temporary covering in the interim as a backup plan.
