Actuator Failure

Error Code E8: MINOR
An actuator on a Manifold Controller has not actuated when requested. The related loops may not function until the condition is corrected. Contact your HVAC professional for assistance.

Solution:

An actuator is not actuating when requested. As a result, loops impacted by that actuator will not function correctly until the issue is resolved. Refer to your thermostat’s error message to identify the affected components. Contact an HVAC professional or Warmboard technical support for further assistance.

Locations of Manifold Controllers can be found in the WCS plan set. Manifolds are generally found near other mechanical equipment or in a cabinet, which is often built into the back of a closet or a comparable location. Each manifold is accompanied by a Manifold Controller, which is a small, white box with a handful of lights and connected actuators.

Identify the affected actuator with the port identification label on the MC. Check that the actuator is properly connected to the MC. If the connection is loose, fully seat the connector and test the actuator from the thermostat by adjusting temperatures. Actuators can take several minutes to open. If the condition persists, reach out to Warmboard technical support for a replacement.
