We’re interested in Warmboard-R. We understand that panels should not be placed under built-in cabinets, but should we plan on installing panels under beds, furniture (such as nightstands and dressers), showers, tubs and area rugs.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but seems like we’ve received different answers on some of these items. Thanks in advance.

Hello. Thanks for writing.

You can install Warmboard under cabinets, but if you are doing a remodel and they are already built-in, then yes – it might make sense to skip that. If you are gutting the property and putting in new cabinetry, Warmboard-R can go underneath, no problem. Otherwise, bathrooms, bedrooms – under tile, hardwood, rugs – whatever you’d like and makes the most sense to your needs.
