We are planning a new home – does warm board replace the sub-floor material. Seems ok for hardwood flooring but what about ceramic and wonder board or equiv. and flexing?
Yes, Warmboard-S replaces the subfloor. It typically installs directly over the joist. And you can use any type of flooring you wish. For ceramic tiling, see page 22 of our installation manual. There are a few different methods we recommend, and wonder board is one of them.
