Performance
Radiant floor heating has grown exponentially in North America. It is now commonly requested by clients who are building high-end custom homes. If you have not already had a client request it, it is just a matter of time until one does. The graph on the right shows the increase in radiant tubing sales over the last 12 years.
Clients who are demanding radiant overwhelmingly cite comfort as its key benefit. Radiant is clean, quiet and invisible. The gentle warmth that is delivers is a desired benefit that is beginning to rival premium features such as granite counter tops, sophisticated kitchens and hardwood floors. As more and more homes are designed with tall ceilings, it is seen as essential to reduce the stratification of heated air caused by the chimney effect of forced air. Radiant concentrates heat near the floor not the ceiling.
Warmboard is the best performing radiant panel because it delivers more of the comfort your clients are seeking. A radiant panel has a very simple function to perform: conduct heat from warm water in a tube to the surface of your floor. Warmboard performs this simple function so well because:
- Our aluminum lined channels make excellent contact with the tubing
- That same aluminum is highly conductive and covers the entire floor surface
- Finish floor goods are in direct contact with the aluminum.
Warmboard is a simple concept, which maximizes the amount of heat delivered under all circumstances.
Warmboard is also a low mass system, delivering the right amount of heat when your clients want it. High thermal mass systems force homeowners to wait hours or even days to get heat.
Here’s what our customers say:
“With Warmboard, it can be less than 30 degrees outside and my living room stays comfortable at 70-71 degrees!”
We built a log home with cathedral ceilings and have always felt like the lower the heat to the floor, the better. With Warmboard, it can be less than 30 degrees outside and my living room stays comfortable at 70-71 degrees. There’s no noise, no air blowing around, and as soon as you walk inside you’re warm. Friday morning our plumber who installed the system came to work out the final kinks. By Friday night our rooms were 70-71 degrees and stabilized. Our builder recently brought two couples looking to build log homes over to take a look. They are ready to order Warmboard for their log homes!

“My wife and I are very pleased.”
My wife and I are from Rockwell City, Iowa and met with you approximately one year ago. We purchased the Warmboard product for a family room we added on, and found your product to be very easy to install, even for the “do-it-yourselfer”. I felt that I should send you a quick email to let you know how we feel about the final product (now that we’ve had it running for a couple months now). WE LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! Before we had the water heater working, in the morning, the room temperature (on a cold morning) would generally be about 58 degrees. Now that Warmboard has been installed, it maintains a room temperature of 69 - 71 degrees each and every morning, even during this cold spell! My wife and I are very pleased with your product and wanted to thank you again. I will tell everyone I can about your product, and hope to send some people your way.

“Better than any other type of tongue and groove subfloor.”
We found that the installation of the Warmboard is better than any other type of tongue and groove subfloor. The grooves are bigger, wider, tapered and slide together better. We were very impressed with the durability of the aluminum. We were leery of it holding up through construction, as it was exposed to harsh weather elements including rain and even snow, but nothing happened to it and additionally there was no swelling. But what most impressed us was the response time. From the time the hot water gets into the pipe to the time you can feel it through the floor is unbelievably quick. Much faster than any other kind of radiant heating we’ve used.
