A Vancouver Island community, surrounded by nature, has many new homes being listed for sale. The Calgary Herald reported that this new development boasts contemporary designs and high-quality features. Potential homebuyers looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life may enjoy a property here as a second home - just 40 kilometers north of Victoria, the neighborhood is a vacation get away.
The developer of the community the house is a part of is promoting the peace and quiet someone may find here.
"It's a completely different lifestyle," said developer Cam Pringle, according to the news source. "We're close to the mountains and have a ski hill within two miles [3.2 kilometres]. We have beautiful lakes here, vineyards and amazing golf courses."
Each of the homes included in the community feature many modern amenities. According to the news source, there are multiple bedrooms, open-concept floor plans, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in the many of the properties. In addition, the structures have been outfitted with energy saving technologies to reduce the environmental impact of the community and help homeowners save on utility costs.
Radiant floor heating systems have been installed in the homes because it offers a high level of comfort for those who live or visit a house and use less energy than traditional utility options. The installation of heating pipes underneath the floorboards helps promote the even distribution of warmth throughout a space. In addition, as the warmth rises throughout the room, most of it is concentrated lower, thereby improving the quality of the comfort someone will experience. As ceilings in living spaces continue to rise to open up the room to more natural light and increase the visual appeal of the room, having heat concentrated by the floors is important.
