A new premier boutique condominium complex in New York City and a circular house in Greenburgh have been built with radiant heating systems as part of a move towards modern design in residences.

The condominium complex in Manhattan has been built for high-end customers, as the real estate will feature the latest in modern kitchen amenities and eco-friendly sources of heating. These residences come with radiant floor systems and the latest in appliances to give the owner both comfort and an adherence to aesthetics, according to New York City Biz.

While city residences tend to feature the latest in home improvements, upstate homes are not immune to the new advances. A large, round house in Greenburgh will also contain technology that improves the value of the property significantly, the Lower Hudson News Journal reported.

"It's going to be a very economical house to run," John Lucido, an area building inspector, told the news source.

Radiant floor heat allows residents to lower their energy costs due to the technology needing very little power to heat the water that is located in the tubing.
