A Pacific Palisades home is being outfitted with the latest in modern amenities. Contractor Magazine recently reported that an all-in-one radiant floor heating system being placed in the home will allow the property owners and their guests to feel comfortable at all times.
The 8,500-foot home overlooks Malibu and Santa Monica Bay. According to the news source, the homeowners wanted to ensure that the construction project had minimal impact on the environment. As a result, a number of sustainability experts who specialize in installing eco-friendly systems were brought in to help the project achieve the environmentally-friendly goal.
"Jim [Schram] called me to a client meeting where they expressed their interest in a combined renewable energy integrated hydronic system," Bill Shady, P.E., owner of Sustainable Design & Product Management, told the news source. "We talked about past projects, and they decided that is what they wanted for their home."
The radiant floor heating system installed in the property will allow the homeowners to reduce the carbon footprint associated with the house. The utility option requires less energy to sustain a comfortable temperature in the home and is easily hooked up to renewable resources like geothermal, wind and solar.
The hydraulic properties of a radiant floor heating system allow for the creation of sustainable thermal energy. Heat is trapped within a home, which decreases energy loss over time and promotes greater savings.
A radiant floor heating system is completely assembled and functional heating solution that almost any homeowner can take advantage of. The versatility of the solution and the ability to put the piping under a large number of flooring materials makes it an ideal solution throughout the home.
