In Wellesley, Massachusetts, a home that was designed for entertaining has recently been listed for sale. Wicked Local Wellesley reports that the Colonial at 42 River Glen Road in the desirable neighborhood of Wellesley Farms has attracted the attentions of more than a few potential buyers.
According to the listing real estate agent, the home is not expected to remain on the market for long. The traditional-styled home has 3,615 square feet of space and sits on a .44 acre lot. The house has been designed to promote comfortable living and entertaining. The dining space and open living floor plan on the first floor are the result of a renovation that allowed the house to keep all of the charm of its 1954 origin, but still have the amenities that modern individuals are looking for.
"This home is really designed for how we entertain today," real estate agent Mary Shea Wilson told the news source. Everything was well thought out for family living in this house."
To improve the comfort that residents and guests feel in the house, a radiant floor heating system was installed throughout the property. Now, homeowners don't have to worry about stepping out of bed onto a cold floor in the morning before work and guests never experience a chill while visiting friends.
A radiant floor heating system doesn't just promote comfort, it also allows a homeowner to reduce his or her heating costs. Unlike traditional heat transfer systems that use vents, baseboards or radiators, a radiant floor system allows heat to fill a room directly from underneath the floor boards with the science of conduction. This process reduces heat loss and allows every bit of warmth to fill a space.
