With technological innovations focused on producing a more sustainable and eco-friendly way of life, advancements have lead to the best heating system using radiant heaters to create a more energy-efficient method to warm houses. However, it does not stop there. As technology improves, so does the number of problems it can solve. Solar panels can power houses and natural ventilation systems can cool them, but the University of Engineering and Technology Of Peru has created an entire new possibility for the billboards that line the streets of the world - global helpers.

Researchers have created billboards in their community that not only does their job of advertising, but can perform functions that work toward the benefit of the world. According to Treehugger, the university set up a billboard in Peru that harnesses the moisture in the air to produce 25 gallons of clean drinking water a day. Since being set up, that one billboard has made 9,450 liters of drinking water for a neighborhood in three months. Inventions like these not only save people money on their monthly bills, but they create water out of thin air. This efficient method is an excellent way to conserve valuable resources with minimal effort and provide a clean solution to give people drinking water.

Going even further, the same university created another billboard that fights against air pollution in its vicinity, reported Inhabitat. By placing it near busy roads, the billboard can clean up to 100,000 cubic meters of air each day by using water inside to filter out all the bacteria and other contaminants. Instead of the air pollution it takes in, the billboard releases fresh air.

Technology like these billboards for the streets and the radiant heaters in houses can work not only to benefit individual families, but entire streets and communities.
