The London Home Builders' Association hosted the annual parade of renovations last weekend in London, an event which treated the public with a viewing of some of the amazing work done by certified home renovators, according to the London Free Press.

A particular focus was placed on the use of in-floor home heating systems, as this technology was presented as an alternative to the conventional forced-air systems that many older residences utilize, the news source reported.

While the technology was originally considered as a high-end, only for the extremely well-off product, the advancements within the field have led to a reduction in the price and an increase in the value of the heating systems, according to the Press.

The organization highlighted the many advancements that were made in the field, and noted that hydronic in-floor heat was the most environmentally friendly way to provide warmth to a residence, the news source reported.

A radiant heating system that is installed as part of a sub-floor can help to provide an environmentally conscious source of heat, along with allowing the owner to choose what type of flooring, as the technology can be put under any surface.
