The home that was designed by Joe and Mary Merz is now being placed on the market. The residence, located in Brooklyn, New York, features a variety of technology that ranges from radiant heating to a fully-equipped media room, according to Brooklyn Heights.
"The perfect marriage of sleek minimalism and functional modernism, this spectacular home is a one-of-kind masterpiece, designed by Mary and Joseph Merz, and recently renovated and expanded to perfection by the original architects themselves," the broker for the residence told the news source.
According to Brooklyn Heights, the residence also features a large open room for maximum comfort, as there are double height ceilings and massive skylights to give the home an open-air feel.
Each room comes complete with cherry millwork and new furnishings, along with access to a suite that features partial views of downtown Manhattan.
A radiant heating system works well in residences that have large open rooms, as the technology allows for a more even temperature distribution than conventional heaters. The temperature difference is only two-to-three degrees as compared with more than 10 degrees in an older system.
