Though Sudbury, Massachusetts, may not be located directly on the coast, a new shingle-style home built in the town is striking in its similarity to those typically found on the island of Nantucket.
According to the MetroWest Daily News, the home, which is located at 24 Kendra Lane in Sudbury, has been designed with a focus on the comfort of those living inside it, with features such as hardwood flooring, recessed lighting and vintage glazed kitchen cabinetry.
"It’s just an incredible house inside and out," Realtor Marla Shields of William Raveis Real Estate told the news source. "The custom features are outstanding, and it’s well designed for entertaining as well as family living."
The 20-by-23-foot kitchen, which includes casual dining areas, reportedly also features granite counters, a separate breakfast bar and double ovens, the news source reports.
The house's master suite features a marble floor with a radiant heating system, which efficiently warms the room from the ceiling to the floor.
Another benefit of a radiant heating system is that it is easy to install and more aesthetically pleasing than traditional systems featuring air ducts, radiators and heating vents.
