Carlisle Wide Plank Floors, a luxury flooring brand, has expanded its reach in the U.S. as it recently opened a showroom in Chicago, Illinois, to demonstrate the aesthetic value and practical nature of its new products, according to a company release.

The release noted that the flooring options are both eco-friendly and stylish, as the company adopts the latest trends in a green and sustainable manner.

"It is wonderful to be invited to the second Carlisle showroom opening after such a tremendous turn out at the New York event. Carlisle is a firm with a commitment to sustainability. We share the same concerns and high standards for design, aesthetic beauty and craftsmanship-and I am thrilled to join the Carlisle team in Chicago for their event," eco-designer Robin Wilson said of the new showroom.

The Carlisle collection of wood floors ranges in both size and type of material, as the many options that are available in the Chicago showroom are made of environmentally-friendly material, are easy to install and last for a significant period of time.

Though the luxury items may be aesthetically pleasing to many designers, they are not priced at a level that is outside of what many people can pay. However, this type of flooring may not work with all radiant floor heating systems, as the material may be damaged by high water temperatures.

While some products may damage the floor, Warmboard radiant heating systems are designed to accommodate even the most fragile flooring options. Because of its unique design, the system does not require the high water temperatures that its competitors rely upon for delivery of heat.

This allows it to be installed under any floor covering, unlike many of the other types of radiant heating systems.
