A homeowner who is asthmatic can invest in a modern utility solution to reduce the presence of fine particulate matter in his or her home that often is associated with causing asthma attacks. Radiant floor heating is an eco-friendly heating solution that removes the forced hot air approach to filling a space with warmth. Instead, heat slowly rises throughout a space because of the convection of air molecules rubbing against each other. Because common allergens are not being pushed throughout a home, someone diagnosed with asthma or any other respiratory illness will find that living in the space warmed with radiant floor heating is much healthier.
Asthma is a chronic lung diseases that inflames the lungs and airways. According to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, asthma causes recurring periods of wheezing, chest tightness, shortness of breath and coughing. The illness impacts people of all ages, but most often it first becomes apparent in children. To date, more than 25 million people are known to have asthma and approximately 7 million of these individuals are children.
Allergens that can cause asthma symptoms to occur, including dust, pet dander, mold, cockroaches, pollen from trees, grasses and flowers. Other common irritants are also to blame, including cigarette smoke, air pollution, chemicals, compounds in house hold cleaners or home decor products and sprays. Sulfites in foods and drink, viral upper respirator infections and physical activity are also linked to triggering an asthma attack or worsening symptoms.
Radiant floor heating doesn't push around these and other fine particulate matters that may cause an asthma attack to occur. As a result, it is an ideal heating solution for a homeowner who either has the illness or a child that is afflicted with asthma.
